Abstract

This article reports on the situation of the human rights of people with disabilities in 2019 based on an analysis, carried out by the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities, CERMI, on effective compliance with the International Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities in Spain. A total of 395 registered complaints highlight seriousness of discrimination in Spain. But we must be optimistic because last year the number of advances increased over 2018, a total of 105; All of them have been reactions from public administrations to complaints of human rights violations against this group of people, promoted by association CERMI.
