Abstract

The Rwanda Security Act has been one of the key drivers of migration policy in the UK during the last few years of Conservative Party rule. The Act was passed in response to rulings by the UK Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights that were adverse to the Government’s claims. And it has generated an intense constitutional debate on the scope of the powers of Parliament and courts, and on constitutional supremacy, which is analysed in this article.
