Abstract

The article details the life and work of Luis Sánchez Agesta (1914-1997), one of Spain's most prominent constitutional scholars of the 20th century. It highlights his academic career as a professor of Political Law, his role as founder of the Institute of Parliamentary Law, and his service as a Senator during the Constituent Legislature (1977-1979). Among his most notable academic contributions are "El sistema político de la Constitución española de 1978" and his studies on historical constitutionalism. His legacy includes numerous publications and the mentorship of a generation of influential jurists.
