Approach to Legal Sociology
Keywords:
Legal Sociology, Rationality, Security, Social NormAbstract
This article aims to establish a dialogue between the concepts of rationality/irrationality and security/insecurity as applied to the legal system. In contemporary societies, collaboration between social norms and legal norms is fundamental, as social models are based on the acceptance of actions and social relations that arise from cultural plurality. Transforming these into legal norms ensures their stability and social control. The contributions Sociology can make to Law are grounded in the need for Law to understand the nature, structure, and functions of social action, as well as how the legal system itself constructs social actions and realities. The sociologization of legal thought is not an alternative to legal dogmatics but a necessary complement.
